Women's Fellowship
The women of Greater Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church collectively form what’s called “Greater Shiloh Women's Fellowship”. We meet every Monday evening at 6:30 in the sanctuary. All sisters are invited to attend.
Besides providing wholesome fellowship and spiritual support to all women of the church, this ministry’s dual purpose is to perform deeds of godly devotion to citizens of the community at large.
A diversity of gifts and talents in the women's fellowship are utilized to bring comfort to the sick and broken-hearted through intercessory prayer, spiritual counseling, home visits with inactive or disabled members, and requested hospital visitation.
Each year this ministry collects donations from it's members to relieve the financial burden of needy families for school supplies and Christmas gifts for children of the community.
Additionally, the Women’s Fellowship ministry conducts an informal praise and worship service one Saturday afternoon of each month at a local nursing home, sharing encouragement from the Scriptures, and bringing small gifts for the 30-plus residents that usually attend services.
Membership is extended to all women of the church. The fellowship assembles each Monday evening at 6:30 for an invigorating discussion of topics of interest to women and future projects. |
